Zhen HOU
I am a Ph.D. candidate in Statistics at the Department of Mathematics, HKUST, supervised by Prof. Dong Xia. I joined HKUST in 2023 after receiving my Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the Shiing-Shen Chern Class at Nankai University (2019–2023).
My research focuses on statistical inference under distribution shift, RKHS-based nonparametric regression, kernel methods, and bootstrap methods. I am particularly interested in finite-sample guarantees, uncertainty quantification, and out-of-sample model reliability.
